SUPPORT TO INTERCONNECT A PLURALITY OF STRUCTURAL MEMBERS AND FRAMING FIELD OF THE INVENTION [001] The present invention relates to a modular furniture system mainly, although not exclusively, for external use. DESCRIPTION OF THE PREVIOUS TECHNIQUE [002] The benefit of being able to spend time outdoors is well known, but in a modern urban environment, these benefits are not always available. It is recognized that excessive exposure to the sun can be harmful, but natural shade is not always available. Similarly, relaxing on a hammock is an idyllic way to enjoy the outdoors, but a hammock requires robust support to be secure and this is not always available. [003] Several attempts have been made to provide a usable outdoor environment, such as pergolas to provide shade and dedicated support frames for hammocks. These are effective, but in the case of a pergola, it is necessary to build a dedicated structure that is not moved or stored promptly. Although kits are available, they consist of pre-cut and prefabricated wooden components that require specialized tools and specific knowledge to assemble. [004] Similarly, the support framework for a network is heavy and has a significant impact even when not in use. [005] Therefore, it is an objective of the present invention to avoid or mitigate the above disadvantages. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION [006] In general terms, the present invention provides a modular frame that has a plurality of elongated structural members interconnected by supports. Each bracket includes at least one tubular socket for Petition 870190100937, of 10/8/2019, p. 10/20 2/10 receive a structural member. An arrangement of holes is provided on one face of the socket to allow connection of a fixture to the bracket to support auxiliary components. [007] Preferably, the orifice arrangement is arranged in two parallel rows spaced from one another with the holes in each row uniformly separated to define a grid. [008] The supports can also have a plurality of sockets orthogonally arranged with an arrangement of holes in the faces directed into the respective sockets. [009] As an additional preference, the sockets are straight in cross section. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS [010] An embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example only with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: Figure 1 is a perspective view of a frame to provide shade. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION [011] Referring to Figure 1, a modular frame 10 is used to support a shade cloth 12 to provide a shaded area. The frame 10 consists of a plurality of elongated structural members 14 that are connected to the interstices of the frame 10 by supports 16. Various structural members 14 and their orientation will depend on the required structure, as Petition 870190100937, of 10/8/2019, p. 12/20 4/10 illustrated in the alternative modalities below, and, similarly, the number and configuration of the supports 16 will depend on the shape of the structure 10. [012] Each of the structural members 14 is formed from a dimensional material, typically wood although other materials, such as metal or plastics, could be used. Preferably, the members 14 are a weather resistant wood in a cross section readily available as a treated wood or cedar of nominal pressure 4x4 '. Alternative dimensions can be used, such as a nominal 6x6 wooden section or a 2x2 or 3x3 extruded aluminum section. [013] The supports 16 are formed from metal and have different configurations depending on the number of members 14 to be connected. The brackets 16 have a socket 18 for each of the members to be connected. As can be seen in Figure 10, a corner support 16 for joining three members orthogonally has three sockets 18 arranged along orthogonal axes, labeled X, Y, Z. Each of the sockets 18 has an internal dimension corresponding to the external dimension of the structural member 14. Thus, if the support 16 is to be used in a frame formed by nominal wood 4x4, socket 18 will be a square cross section sized to comfortably receive the structural member 14. [014] Each of the sockets 18 is formed with 4 flat faces 20. The faces directed inwards, which are those that are directed towards another face, as indicated in 20a, have an arrangement 22 of holes 24 that extends through the interior of socket 18. Arrangement 22 is formed by two rows of four holes 24 which are spaced from each other to provide a grid. It will be appreciated, of course, that other arrangement configurations could be used. [015] Again with reference to Figure 1, structural members 14 are Petition 870190100937, of 10/8/2019, p. 13/20 5/10 inserted into sockets 18 to provide four legs 14a and four columns 14b so legs 14a are arranged at the corners of a rectangle. The members 14 are secured to the respective supports 16 by screws passing through the distal holes 24a and the structural member 14, so that a rigid frame 10 is provided. It will be appreciated that the dimensions of the columns 14b can be chosen to suit the area to be covered simply by cutting the columns 14b to the required length. [016] Arrangement 22 of holes 24 is also used to secure the shade cloth 12 to the frame 10. As can be seen in Figure 11, a hanger 26 extends between a pair of inwardly facing faces 20a and supports an elastic loop 28 attached to a corner of the shade cloth 12 or to the side panel 70 described below. The hanger 26 is shown in Figure 12 and has a central body 30 with a pair of end flaps 32 arranged 45 degrees to the body 30. A hole 34 is formed in each of the end flaps 32. The spacing between holes 34 it is so that they line up with the holes 24 in the adjacent faces 20a so that the hanger can be attached to each of the faces with a screw 36. The screw passes through the hole 24 and in the member 14 to produce a secure fixation. If you prefer, the screws can be self-tapping or dimensioned to engage with the holes 24 as they are inserted to provide additional fixation, but, in general, the fixation on the structural member 14 is sufficient. Thus, the shade cloth is attached to the frame 10 at each corner and can be removed promptly if required by simply releasing loop 28 while holding hanger 26 in place. [017] In the embodiment of Figure 1, the lower end of the legs 14a is located for a substrate by the feet 40 shown in greater detail in Figure 13. The feet 40 each have a socket 18 that is attached to a plate 42. The socket 18 has an arrangement of holes 24 formed on one of its faces 20 Petition 870190100937, of 10/8/2019, p. 14/20 6/10 to allow foot 40 to be attached to leg 14a. Plate 40 has bolt holes 44 at each apex to allow the foot to be attached to the substrate if required. [018] It will be appreciated that the frame 10 can be easily disassembled for storage and different lengths of structural members used for different situations. [019] An additional frame modality is shown in Figure 2 in which similar reference numbers will be used to denote similar components. In the embodiment of Figure 2, the feet 40 are replaced by corner supports 16 and columns 14b inserted to provide a lower peripheral edge. Thus, the frame 10 forms a self-supporting hub. As in the modality of Figure 1, the shade cloth 12 is attached using suspenders 26. [020] The rigidity of the frame 10 allows a net 50 to be attached to the legs 14a using a collar 52 shown in greater detail in Figures 14 and 15. The collar 52 has an open band 54 with 4 faces 56. The band it is dimensioned to fit around the structural member 14 and has a pair of pins 58 that project from opposite ends of the band 54. A mounting hole 60 is formed in each pin. The faces 56 adjacent to the pins 58 are provided with an arrangement of holes 62 which is arranged as a 2x2 grid and similar in size to the holes 24 in the supports 16. [021] Collar 52 can be slid along leg 14a to a required position and screws inserted through holes 62 to secure the collar in position. Typically, collar 52 will be located on leg 14a prior to assembling the columns, but can be retroactively fitted or removed by opening band 52 to allow leg 14a to pass between pegs 58. With collar located and secured at height required, network 50 can Petition 870190100937, of 10/8/2019, p. 15/20 7/10 be fixed to hole 60 in the pin using a ring or other suitable fastener. The rigid frame 10 provides a secure attachment to the net and the arrangement of holes 62 on the faces of the collar 52 ensures a safe location on the legs 14a. [022] The frame 10 of Figure 1 or that of Figure 2 is the extra stiffness required, it can also be used to provide sidewalls as shown in Figure 3. In the arrangement of Figure 3, the side screens 70 are attached inside the openings vertical formed by a pair of legs 14a and a pair of columns 14b. A mounting clip 72, shown in greater detail in Figure 16, is used at each corner and in the middle of the extension as needed. The clamp 72 is similar to the hanger 26 described above, but the flaps 74 are oriented parallel to the body 76. The holes 78 are spaced so that they line up with a pair of holes in a row in the arrangement of a socket and thus , provides a mounting point on the horizontal face or on the vertical face of the corner support 16. The clamps 72 are positioned at each corner of the side screens 70, as shown in Figure 13, and allow the screws to be fixed inside the openings. The clips 72 can be attached to any row of holes 24 in the arrangement that allows the side screen to be inserted or moved in relation to the members 14. [023] In the above modalities, frame 10 is independent. However, as shown in Figure 4. Corner brackets 16 and feet 40 can be used with a surrounding structure to provide a shaded area. In the embodiment of Figure 4, a pair of legs 14a is used in combination with a pair of columns 14b to provide an L-shaped frame. Feet 40 are mounted at the ends of legs 14a and columns to connect legs 14a to a base B and the columns to a wall W. A shade cloth 12 is supported by the column 14b to provide shade. The connection of the shade cloth to the corner supports 16 is by means of the hangers 26 as Petition 870190100937, of 10/8/2019, p. 16/20 8/10 described above. To connect the shade cloth 12 adjacent to the wall W, the clip 72 is attached to the arrangement 24 provided on one side 20 of the foot 40. In this case, the face with the arrangement is directed towards the other column, thus the cloth of shadow is found in the plane of the columns. [024] Each of the above uses a shade cloth 12 to provide shade. In the embodiment of Figure 5, columns 14b are used to support vertical boards at spaced intervals to form a pergola. [025] Frame 10 can be used in combination with other frames to provide larger structures. As seen in Figure 6, a pair of frames, as shown in Figure 1, are arranged side by side to provide an enlarged frame. The arrangement of holes in each clip 16 is available to allow the shade cloth or side walls to be attached to the columns, and, of course, the nets can be attached to both sets of legs 14a. [026] Similarly, in the embodiment of Figure 7, an open frame, as shown in Figure 1, is connected from end to end. In these embodiments, as shown in Figure 17, the corner support 16 is arranged to connect four elongated members 14 on orthogonal axes by providing a socket 18 that extends on both node sides of the support 16. Each of the faces directed to inside 20a has an arrangement of holes 24 to allow the attachment of shade cloth or side walls as required. [027] The support 16 shown in Figure 17 can also be used with the frame shown in Figure 4 to provide an L-shaped frame support extended by a W wall. [028] Feet 40 can be adapted for use on soil and sand by providing spikes that extend from sockets 18 as Petition 870190100937, of 10/8/2019, p. 17/20 9/10 shown in Figure 9. [029] The versatility of the frame 10 can be increased by using the connector 80 shown in Figure 18 to connect a pair of structural members 14 at right angles to each other. The connector 80 has a body defined by a square peripheral wall 82 that is dimensioned to fit at one end of a structural member and a tongue 84 that protrudes from one of the faces of the wall. One face of the wall 82 and the tongue 84 have an arrangement of holes 24 2x2 so that the body can be attached to one end and the tongue used for connection to another structural member. Thus, as shown in Figure 18, horizontal rails can be attached between legs 14a and / or pickets can be attached to rails or columns. [030] An additional modality of connector 16 is shown in figure 19 which is used to connect 5 structural members 14. Four of the sockets 18 are in a common plane and the fifth socket 18 is orthogonal to the other sockets. Each of the flat faces 20 of the fifth socket has a hole arrangement 22 to allow the hangers 26 or corner clips 72 to be attached. [031] In each of the above modalities, it will be recognized that the provision of the arrangement of holes in the faces directed into the connectors 16 allows not only that the structural members are attached to the supports for a robust frame, but also allows the auxiliary components , such as hangers and clamps, are simply attached in a variety of orientations to allow attachment of accessories. The grid defined by two rows of holes 24 allows the base plates of accessories, such as light fittings, to be attached to the connectors and, thereby, adds versatility. The frame is promptly disassembled and reconfigured for different purposes or for storage. Petition 870190100937, of 10/8/2019, p. 18/20 10/10 [032] The supports 16 are made of steel or aluminum and can be constructed by welding tubular sections together or, preferably, by bending sheet metal in the required configuration. Where the supports are folded, it is preferable that the free ends of the plate are mechanically interconnected, as by a fitting, after bending to keep the plate folded in the correct configuration for welding the free ends together. [033] Although the invention has been described with reference to specific modalities, several modifications of the same will be evident for those elements skilled in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as highlighted in the claims attached to it. All inventions of all the references mentioned above are incorporated by reference in this document.
